This event is reserved for women aged 18 and over
Spey (two-handed rod) advanced course
to
Gaspésie–Îles-de-la-Madeleine
Saint Anne River, Sainte-Anne-des-Monts
For “INITIATION” days or trips
This event is for you if:
- You've never tried fly fishing (and you're still wondering if it's even legal to throw a “fly” into a river).
- You have zero gear (and you were thinking of borrowing your brother-in-law’s waders… with the rubber boots attached).
- You don’t know what a dry fly, wet fly or nymph is… and for you, “silk” mostly means dental floss.
- You want to spend an amazing day in a fun atmosphere, surrounded by passionate, welcoming women with zero judgment.
👉 If you recognized yourself once (or five times), you’re in the right place. (And if you already master the roll cast, we probably have another group for you 😉)
For “SKILLS IMPROVEMENT” days or trips
This event is for you if:
- You've been fly fishing at least 5 times in your life — ideally in the last decade.
- You know how to set up your rod, thread your line and tie on a fly… even if you sometimes feel like you need reading glasses for your knots.
- You want to work on your technique: improve your cast, your river reading, or finally understand why that stubborn fish keeps ignoring your fly.
- You have your own gear (or almost everything), and you know your brother-in-law’s rubber boots are a hard no.
- You want to push yourself in a fun, kind atmosphere, surrounded by “fly” girls (and not just because of the flies).
👉 If you recognized yourself here, you’re exactly in the right place: the improvement group, where we take fishing seriously — but never ourselves 💛
For “SPEY INITIATION” days or trips (two-handed rod)
This event is for you if:
- You’ve never (or almost never) fished with a two-handed rod — and you’re still wondering how to hold “that thing” without looking like a confused ninja.
- You might know how to cast a single-hand rod, but you’re starting from scratch with Spey — and you’re totally fine with that.
- You want to understand what an anchor, a D-loop is, and how to manage that much line in the air without strangling yourself.
- You don’t have any Spey gear (and maybe thought it was fished like a regular rod… surprise 🎉).
- You want a first Spey experience in a welcoming setting, with passionate women and full permission to ask 1000 questions.
👉 If you’re here to learn the Spey basics, without pressure, in a kind and playful environment, this group is for you! No stress if you still mix up the terms… that’s exactly why we’re here 💪
For “SPEY IMPROVEMENT” days or trips (two-handed rod)
This event is for you if:
- You've already fished Spey at least 5 times in the last season, or you’re solid on the basics (anchor, D-loop, etc.).
- You know how to set up your rod, pick a fly and manage your line (even if you still sometimes pretend the wind is wrong just to reset your focus).
- You want to work on accuracy, timing, improve your casts in different conditions, or move on to more technical casts.
- You have your own Spey setup (or you know exactly what you’re missing) — and you no longer confuse gear brand names with cocktails.
- You want a challenging yet kind experience, surrounded by other anglers who are serious about progressing.
👉 If you’re ready to take your Spey to the next level, this group is for you. You don’t need to be a pro — just someone who’s already put both hands on a rod and wants to keep improving ✨
For the “SALMON/TROUT DUO” trip
This trip is for you if:
- You’ve already fished single-hand fly several times — you know how to set up your rod, do a roll cast (even if you still blame the wind now and then).
- You want to improve your technique, accuracy or river reading — basically, you’re ready to go further with your practice.
- You’ve never (or almost never) fished from a boat, and still-water trout fishing is totally new to you.
- You want to learn which casting techniques to use, which flies to choose for trout, and how to adapt to flat water.
- You love the idea of mixing styles, stepping out of your comfort zone and learning in two very different environments — always with a crew of passionate, kind women ready to live something real 💛
👉 If that sounds like you, this trip is for you: two complementary days, between the power of the river and the calm of the lake, to grow your fishing skills and explore new sensations.
(Psst, if you’re a complete beginner in fly fishing, take a look at our 100% initiation trips instead.)

Hébergement
Chic and Shock Destination
The four log cabins of Petit-Saut are a well-kept secret. Yet they are among the most picturesque salmon fishing camps in Quebec and are located only about 30 kilometers from the coastal village of Sainte-Anne-des-Monts, in the heart of Gaspésie National Park, a destination frequented by tourists from all over the world. Built in 1959, the cabins have the charm of authentic camps of yesteryear. They are discovered at the end of a small forest road, nestled in a splendid setting, with the Chic-Choc Mountains as a backdrop. At their foot flows the Sainte-Anne, a salmon river of breathtaking beauty, steeped in history.
